The short version
The WaveLens command-line tools don’t send your audio files, your reports, or any data about what you’re comparing anywhere. License verification is fully local — it checks a signed .lic file’s signature against an embedded public key, and never makes a network call. What follows covers the website and purchase process, where we do collect a limited amount of information.
Information we collect
- Purchase information — when you buy a license, our payment processor collects the billing details needed to complete the transaction (we don’t store your full card number ourselves).
- Account/license information — the email address and name associated with a license, so we can deliver it and verify support requests.
- Contact form submissions — the Contact page is processed by Formspree, a third-party form service. Whatever you enter there — name, email, and message — passes through their systems to reach us; see Formspree’s privacy policy for how they handle it.
- Support correspondence — anything you send us when you contact support or sales, kept only as long as needed to resolve the request.
What we don’t collect
The WaveLens tools themselves — wavelens, wavgen, wavchan, wavsummary, wavscan — don’t phone home. They don’t transmit your audio files, report contents, file paths, or usage telemetry. License checks happen offline, against the .lic file already on your machine.
How we use it
Only to deliver and support what you’ve licensed: issuing and renewing licenses, and responding to whatever you contact us about. We don’t sell your information.
